Thirty one. Swimming Pool and Patio |

An Addition to this house involved a personalized pool, a Pool
Equipment Outbuilding and landscape retaining walls.
The Owners asked us to design a customized pool for
entertaining and personal use for their family which complements the
existing house and terrain of the lot. Strategically placing the pool on the southeast edge at a 45 degree angle gave the backyard a contemporary, dynamic and bold look which could then be seen from the Kitchen/Eating Area and the Lower Level Family Room. By placing the pool in this location, it left room for softscape areas on the northern half of the rear lot, including a play area on grass for the kids. The design of the two layered Patio gave the Owners an upper Patio directly off the Lower Level with room for a planned future hot tub and an area for privacy from the adjacent golf course. The pool itself has a large stair step seating/relaxation area to allow swimmers varying degrees of wetness, depending on how hot the day is. The concrete Patio was scored to add a modern clean look to the Pool Deck and a tiled bench was designed on the east edge which doubles as a water feature with three arching fountains projecting into the pool. |
