Ten.  Major Remodel & Additions
As we all know, there are countless examples of poor Additions, tacked on to the back of originally charming and architecturally interesting homes.  Our firm believes that not only should an Addition tie into the existing home, but it can, and should, actually improve the architectural character of the home.  Good design should not be limited to the front of a house, leaving the side and back elevations to simply be a "result".  The addition we created for this Cape Cod home is a great example of that philosophy at work!

Our Clients were very excited at how we were able to take their dark, narrow galley Kitchen and create a wonderful room for their family to spend time together.
Our Addition included not only the Kitchen, but a well thought out Mud & Laundry Room to improve the transition between the Kitchen and the Garage.  The Garage was redesigned to provide a base for a beautiful new 2nd Floor Master Suite.  The roof and ceiling lines tuck nicely into the main roof and create a light filled Sitting Area in the Master.  The homeowner chose to work alone as Interior Designer and did a great job working with a simple black and white pallet, warming it up with natural wood floors.  The new exteriors maintain the charm and continue the design around the side and to the new rear elevations.  Say "good-bye" to thoughts of a "tacked-on" Addition!
